OPERA ON THE INTERNET
WITH
DAVE D'AGUANNO

The Metropolitan Opera in New York will be broadcasting a performance of Puccini's "Tosca" this coming Saturday, January 28. Starring Patricia Racette in the title role, it can be heard on many internet radio stations.

Another LIVE broadcast comes to us via Swedish Radio, as the Paris Opera is relaying a performance of Massenet's "Manon" with Natalie Dessay in the lead.

The Stuttgart Opera, which doesn't usually broadcast with any amount of frequency these days, is giving us a performance of Bellini's "La Sonnambula" (taped this past Sunday) to be heard on German Radio.

And the Belgian station Klara has a performance by the Flemish Opera which took place last month. The opera: Rossini's "Il Viaggio a Reims."

Plus, no opera schedule would be complete without at least one blockbuster, so this Friday you can kick things off at 6 p.m. with a LIVE performance on the Met's free audio-stream of Wagner's "Die Gotterdammerung" which, incidentally, will be getting an HD-transmission on Feb. 11.

Enjoy!
