If you'd like a head start on this weekend's operas on internet radio, you can tune in to a free LIVE audio stream from the Met on Friday (March 11) at 8 p.m., and treat yourself to a performance of Tchaikovsky's "Queen of Spades" featuring Karita Mattila in the leading soprano role (Lisa). Just go to www.metopera.org at the time of the broadcast, click on "Watch & Listen" and you'll be taken to the Real Player link.
Then on Saturday at 12 noon, just about all internet radio stations that normally broadcast opera performances will be bringing to us the LIVE Met performance of Mussorgsky's "Boris Godunov" with Rene Pape as Boris, and others in the cast who were seen in the HD-transmission of this work back in October.
