OPERA ON THE INTERNET
WITH
DAVE D’AGUANNO

Opera2Day (an opera company based in the Hague) performed the opera "Hamlet" by Ambroise Thomas in 2018, and it is one of those performances that can be seen in a FREE video-stream on Friday (September 13), courtesy of OperaVision.

Then on Saturday, Radio 4 (the Netherlands) will be broadcasting a rather interesting pairing: Tchaikovsky's (non-vocal) symphonic poem "Francesca da Rimini" with Rachmaninov's opera of the same name. Both works come to us from Amsterdam.

And on Sunday, the birth of one of Poland's most beloved opera composers -- Stanislaw Moniuszko (born 1819) -- will be celebrated with a LIVE performance from Warsaw of his opera "Hrabina" ("The Countess") which had its premiere in 1860. As a side-note, I should mention that even more Moniuszko is forthcoming with a FREE video-stream, via OperaVision, on Friday, Sept. 20, of his opera "Halka."

Enjoy!
