As we enter the final few weeks of summer, there aren't very many opera broadcasts scheduled on the internet, aside from some re-broadcasts of performances from Bayreuth & a few others. So, on Saturday, the only new broadcast worth noting is a LIVE performance from Warsaw of Verdi's relatively early opera "Il Corsaro."

One other broadcast on Saturday isn't exactly new, although it may certainly be "new" to many listeners, as an October 2016 performance of Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor" can be heard, coming to us from Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Then on Sunday, Swedish Radio has a LIVE performance from Stockholm of Wagner's "Das Rheingold."

Also on Sunday, there's actually one other broadcast coming to us from Warsaw, as Polish composer Stanislaw Moniuszko's 4-act opera "The Haunted Manor" can be heard LIVE, probably in honor of the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth.
