OPERA ON THE INTERNET
WITH
DAVE  D' AGUANNO

The Met is generously providing us with two free live audio-streams in the next few days. First up is tomorrow night's performance of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" and on Monday (November 14) opera fans will have a chance to hear soprano Anna Netrebko in the title role of Puccini's "Manon Lescaut" with tenor Marcelo Alvarez as Des Grieux.

Another well-loved opera by Mozart can be heard on Saturday (November 12) as BBC Radio 3 brings us a taped recording of "Cosi fan Tutte" as performed last month at London's Royal Opera House.

Verdi's "La Forza del Destino" appears on the schedule for Swedish Radio this Saturday. The opera, as performed in Geneva on February 5 of this year, is what this station will be broadcasting.

Donizetti's delightful "La Fille du Regiment" can be heard on Radio 3 (RAI) in a performance that took place in Palermo on March 13, 2016.

And for those of you why may have enjoyed the recent broadcast of Samuel Barber's "Vanessa" that was aired on German Radio (that being a performance that took place in Berlin), you'll have another chance to hear this 20th century work on Radio 4 (the Netherlands), this particular offering being a broadcast of the November 5th performance of the work from this year's Wexford Festival.

Enjoy!

DAVE

The Met Saturday afternoon
radio broadcast will return on December 3 with 'Manon Lescaut.'
