OPERA ON THE INTERNET
WITH
DAVE  D' AGUANNO

The final LIVE broadcast of the Met's 2014/2015 season will take place this coming Saturday (May 9) with a performance of Stravinsky's "The Rake's Progress" which can be heard on several internet radio stations.

However, the Met is offering one more FREE live broadcast on their website's audio-stream. If you tune in tomorrow evening (Thursday) at7:25, you can hear Lehar's "Merry Widow" with Susan Graham replacing Renee Fleming in the title role.

There are, unfortunately, only a few broadcasts (other than the Stravinsky opera from the Met) worth noting on other internet radio stationsthis Saturday, one of them being the broadcast of a recent performance (March 2015) from Lausanne, Switzerland, of Rossini's early opera "Tancredi."

French Radio brings us a June 2014 performance from the Vienna State Opera of Janacek's "The Cunning Little Vixen."

On the Belgian station Klara, you can hear once again a performance from Liege of Otto Nicolai's most popular opera "The Merry Wives of Windsor." The performance being broadcast took place this past February.

Enjoy!
